| HAWKER POWERSAFE
HND have worked with Hawker, the world's leading producer of industrial batteries, for over 10 years. Hawker produces specialist batteries for defence and telecom applications and is a subsidiary company of Invensys plc. HND forwards Hawker batteries to Hawker subsidiaries and agents around the world, handling all documents associated with overseas work including invoicing and packing lists. HND also provides physical distribution in the UK for Hawker 'Powersafe', the standby power business.

Powersafe supplies standby power batteries, primarily for telecoms and computer back-up applications. BT is one of the largest customers, and one of HND’s main tasks is to liase with the exchanges and book drops to fit the availability of engineers and the routing schedule of the vehicles.
HND’s team is based in Hawker’s offices and has become an integral part of the Hawker Supply Chain. David Thornton, who manages the account comments ‘ there are people who have been working in this office for 10 years who don’t know that I am employed by HND, not Hawker!’
